IIThe road ahead

Merry adventures, mile after mile.

The route follows Robin through Sherwood Forest and the towns of medieval England, in the company of Little John, Friar Tuck, Will Scarlet, and the rest of the Merry Men. Expect disguise, rescue, and greenwood justice, told the way Pyle told them in 1883. For a shorter walk with Robin, Sherwood Forest: The Outlaw’s Trail follows Paul Creswick’s retelling over 25 miles.

Each waypoint pairs a restored and colorized version of Pyle’s own artwork with a moment from the story. Reach one, and the forest path runs on to the next.
