750 miles, one night at a time.
The Arabian Nights never measures its journeys. StoryTrek’s epic route runs 750 miles, with 50 waypoints drawn from the tales. Every walk, run, or treadmill session your phone records moves you along it.
How long the journey takes
| You walk | You reach the end in |
|---|---|
| 3 miles a day (5 km) | about 8 months |
| 5 miles a day (8 km) | about 5 months |
| 10 miles a day (16 km) | about 11 weeks |
| 15 miles a day (24 km) | about 7 weeks |
A 10,000-step day is roughly 4 to 5 miles, which gets you to the end in about 5 months.

The long way through a thousand nights.
The whole collection is framed by Scheherazade, who tells a king a new story each night to put off her own death. This route follows her tales through enchanted palaces, distant lands, and perilous journeys, with magic, adventure, and romance along the way. If you want a shorter walk through the same world, The Arabian Nights covers a selection of it in 200 miles.
Each of the 50 waypoints pairs an illustration by Edmund Dulac, who painted the tales in 1907, with a moment from the stories. Arrive at one, and the next tale is waiting down the road.
Walk it together
Start a company and share all 750 miles with a friend, a book club, or a whole office. Everyone walks their own steps, wherever they live, while the group travels deeper into Scheherazade’s stories together.
